Operations Analyst – Securities & Funds Settlements specialist

Role Overview

This position is based in Zurich, Switzerland, requiring full-time commitment on-site. The role spans a duration of 12 months and focuses on the specialized area of settlements within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Securities Settlements:
  • Provide settlement services as a global custodian for clients.
  • Ensure the transfer of securities portfolios between financial institutions.
  • Guarantee timely settlement of transactions in global markets, facilitating accurate realignments of securities positions.
• Funds Settlements:
  • Process private placement hedge funds and mutual funds transfers for clients.
  • Manage risk-aware exception handling, trade monitoring, and manual interventions on client and market transactions.
  • Liaise with custodians and transfer agents to ensure timely settlement of client assets.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in securities settlements.
• Good understanding of securities markets and the functions of a custodian.
• Knowledge of equities and fixed income products with experience in processing confirmations and settlements.
• Basic understanding of corporate actions event processing and reconciliation.
• Extensive experience in securities settlements, including capturing, instructing, and monitoring orders.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, particularly MT54x settlement instructions.
