Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and work with metallic materials including steel, aluminum, and titanium.
  • Examine the fatigue behavior of metallic materials through theoretical study and practical testing.
  • Conduct testing campaigns on metallic coupons to assess material performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with aeronautical standards and material qualification processes.
  • Engage in manufacturing processes such as forming, machining, and milling.
  • Implement assembly practices using screws, rivets, bolts, and lubricants.
  • Execute surface treatments including anodizing, galvanizing, and corrosion protection.
  • Understand and analyze heat treatments and their effects on microstructures.
  • Coordinate material investigations, particularly in relation to failure cases.
  • Manage allowable standards for raw materials and treatments.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in materials engineering, ideally within aerospace or regulated industries.
  • Strong grasp of metallic materials and their mechanical behaviors, particularly regarding fatigue and fracture.
  • Proficiency in material testing, data analysis, and result interpretation.
  • Familiarity with aeronautical standards and material qualification processes.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for metallic structures.
  • Knowledge of surface and heat treatments and their applications in industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
