Your Profile
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field related to sustainable development and possess internationally recognized research expertise in sustainability transformations. A successful track record in managing complex inter- and transdisciplinary research organizations, alongside strong organizational and strategic leadership skills, is essential. The individual should enhance the Centre's profile in sustainability sciences and practice while nurturing relationships with academic, policy, civil society, and private sector partners.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience in shaping transnational research partnerships, especially with Global South countries.
- Proven ability to secure third-party funding for both academic research and its practical implementation.
- A cooperative leadership style with intercultural competence and experience in knowledge transfer.
- Outstanding management and communication skills to inspire and lead interdisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Swiss and international science and development policy.
- Fluency in English is required, with knowledge of a Swiss national language and familiarity with the Swiss academic system being advantageous.
