Your Role and Responsibilities
In the role of Local Division Controller for High Speed in Switzerland, you will play a crucial part in ensuring financial integrity and the accuracy of financial statements in alignment with internal and external regulations. You will facilitate the local budget and forecast process, acting as a strategic business partner to management by delivering analytics and state-of-the-art dashboards aligned with High Speed division objectives.
- Secure that the budget process reflects the strategic goals of the High Speed Division in Switzerland.
- Execute month-end reporting, conduct financial statement reviews, and provide actionable insights through analysis and dashboards.
- Regularly review balance sheet items, focusing on provisions and accruals, particularly related to warranties and stock.
- Develop templates for financial performance measurement and provide forward-looking insights to support resource allocation and cost optimization.
- Monitor costs, ensuring that reductions are achieved in areas such as SG&A and travel.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process for the Division's five-year outlook.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to derive accurate business forecasts and inform global High Speed forecasts.
- Work alongside Product Management on cost controlling, profitability monitoring, and improvement plans.
- Oversee legal risks and ensure compliance with revenue recognition and internal controls.
- Engage in project work both within the High Speed Division and beyond.
Your Background
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A sound educational background in Finance and Controlling, with over 6 years of experience in an international business environment.
- A structured, results-oriented approach with a focus on internal controls and processes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
- High-level coordination and communication skills to gather and interpret relevant financial information.
- Proficiency in SAP (FI and CO, SD modules) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), with additional skills in AI software like Copilot.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a persistent solution orientation.
- Fluency in both German and English.
