About the Opportunity
We seek a highly motivated and team-oriented educator aligned with our mission and vision. The ideal candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of our educational program, providing exceptional support to students through our Bespoke Learning Support programming. These programs are designed for students requiring adaptive and intensive services to facilitate their successful inclusion in our school, offering a personalized environment based on individual learning profiles and behaviors to ensure holistic growth.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of teachers, assistant teachers, and therapists to deliver individualized support.
- Provide support within grade-level subject classes and specialized settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree (or equivalent certification) in Special Education with a valid teaching credential.
- A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience in Special Educational Needs and/or English as an Additional Language.
- Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities in primary and/or secondary school settings.
- Experience with children facing significant learning and emotional/behavioral challenges is advantageous.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and revise Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Skill in monitoring student progress and collaborating with mainstream subject teachers.
- Experience with educational assessments and creating individual learning plans.
- Knowledge of and experience with literacy and numeracy interventions.
- Confidence in using assistive technologies and 1:1 devices.
- A passion for ongoing professional development for oneself and colleagues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals to support student inclusion.
- German language skills are a plus, though not essential.
