Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a project or portfolio of projects at a regional or sectoral level.
  • Oversee all aspects of planning as outlined in the Planning SOP.
  • Provide reports to the Planning Department as well as Project Management.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain progress databases and conduct progress reporting.
  • Analyze milestone projections, delay, and float path.
  • Utilize Earned Value Management systems to track performance.
  • Monitor schedule performance and productivity.
  • Conduct site audits for progress verification.
  • Participate in schedule meetings, collaborating with clients and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender schedules and histograms.
  • Lead planning meetings and support weekly workface planning systems.
  • Load schedules with resource and cash data.
  • Provide necessary data for payment applications.
  • Complete contract review reports with attention to quality and accuracy.
  • Advise relevant parties on issues and propose solutions.
  • Document any delays and disruptions.
  • Assist in preparing claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
  • Manage, train, and develop staff as needed.
  • Assume responsibilities of Planning Manager and Project Planner when required.
  • Perform other duties associated with the role.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant qualification in Engineering or Planning/Project Planning.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in Project Planning or as a Senior Planner on large-scale projects.
  • Experience with Data Centres is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team of planners, excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is a distinct advantage.
