Role Overview
In this position, you will engage with various teams across Distribution, Proposition, Operations, Data, and Technology to spearhead the development of pricing science capabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing pricing models, delivering insightful commercial analytics, and identifying avenues to refine pricing sophistication and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimisation of pricing across portfolios.
- Manage the end-to-end repricing process while maintaining a balance between competitiveness, customer outcomes, and profitable growth.
- Maintain and enhance pricing methodologies, assumptions, and segmentation frameworks.
- Provide pricing recommendations that align with commercial objectives and strategic priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Computer Science; an actuarial qualification or equivalent professional experience is a plus.
- Significant experience in pricing, data science, actuarial, analytics, or a commercially focused role within insurance or financial services.
- Strong pricing and analytical expertise, preferably in the UK protection or life insurance market.
- Advanced modelling and programming capabilities, including proficiency in R, Python, SQL, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to convert complex analytical insights into actionable commercial recommendations and pricing decisions.
- Experience in developing pricing, risk, propensity, or optimisation models while working with large and complex datasets.
