Lab Technician in QC Microbiology

Join a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, spanning both chemical and biotechnology sectors. This role is based in Visp, Switzerland, and offers a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. As a Laboratory Technician in QC Microbiology, you will be responsible for daily routine analysis and its organization, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform analytical methods within your area of responsibility, evaluating, reviewing, and reporting the results.
• Create analysis protocols, test instructions, and summary reports.
• Enter and release results into LIMS and MODA according to team-internal regulations.
• Document all laboratory activities in accordance with GMP and internal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with quality (SOP and GMP) and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory.
• Train new microbiology staff and shift workers in their assigned area.
• Focus methodologically on microbial identification and endotoxin measurements.

Required Qualifications

• Swiss or EU citizen with the right to work in Switzerland.
• Completed training as a laboratory technician, CTA, or a BSc with a specialization in biology, biochemistry, or a similar field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience, particularly with microbiological analysis techniques, is a plus.
• Fluency in German and English is an advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP is a plus.
