We are currently seeking an individual to enhance our Research and Development environment as part of a vibrant and forward-thinking team. Your Challenges
- Develop and implement new testing and measurement methods for innovative product segments in partnership with an incubator business unit.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments related to technology and product development projects.
- Systematically build knowledge in emerging technologies and application areas.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, providing metrology expertise.
- Conduct complex, customer-specific tests beyond standard production capabilities.
- Perform root cause analysis of product failures and assist in addressing customer complaints.
- Ensure operational readiness and continuously improve laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
- Enhance data processing and analysis workflows for automated evaluation, reporting, and visualization.
- Contribute to the standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of laboratory processes, test procedures, documentation, and best practices.
Your Competencies
- PhD (highly preferred) or Master’s degree in Applied Physics, Vacuum Technology, Measurement Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of vacuum technology, measurement methods, and vacuum sensor applications.
- Proven laboratory experience in building, executing, and analyzing complex experimental setups and measurement systems.
- Experience in system development and integration (sensors, actuators, control systems).
- A background in the semiconductor industry is advantageous.
- Ability to translate innovative concepts into testable and measurable requirements.
- Background in vacuum sensor testing is a strong benefit.
- Strong analytical skills in data interpretation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigation.
- Programming skills in Python for automated data processing, evaluation, visualization, and reporting.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
