Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat.
- Cook food using various utensils or grillers.
- Monitor food during the cooking process to ensure quality, stirring or turning as needed.
- Ensure exceptional presentation by dressing dishes before serving.
- Maintain a sanitized and organized environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure proper storage of all food and other items.
- Assess the quality of ingredients regularly.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods, including grilling, baking, and boiling.
- Commitment to following sanitation procedures diligently.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina are necessary.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a diploma from a culinary school is a plus.
