International Project Management Opportunity
A dynamic organization focused on holistic community development is looking to strengthen and expand its portfolio in Africa. This role involves reviewing and accompanying partner-led projects, directly implementing initiatives, and ensuring quality across all phases of Project Cycle Management (PCM).
The successful individual will possess a deep commitment to the organization's core values of concern, adaptation, and sustainability, demonstrating a passion for international cooperation. We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented professional with substantial experience in African contexts, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
This position requires significant time spent in the field, developing new initiatives, strengthening existing projects, and building networks to enhance the organization's presence in the region. The role involves close collaboration with a dedicated team and reporting to the Head of Projects & Partnerships Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee ongoing and implement new projects in collaboration with local partners and the team, ensuring quality, strategic alignment, and measurable impact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Context Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of the local context focusing on health, education, and livelihood.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL): Support the Impact Manager in strengthening MEAL systems in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Partnership Development: Assess existing partnerships, identify new ones, and co-develop initiatives that address community needs and sustainability in line with the organization's holistic development approach.
- Direct Implementation: Lead and support teams in-country to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
- Fundraising Support: Contribute to the development of funding proposals to secure resources for both new and ongoing projects.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensure value for money, and maintain compliance with local and international standards.
- Institutional Standards & Compliance: Align operations with international best practices and local regulations to enhance local ownership and partner capacity.
- Networking: Engage with key actors and institutions to strengthen the organization's reputation in Africa.
