Indirect Procurement Manager (Capex)

Role Overview

The Indirect Procurement team at our Zurich Airport headquarters is looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to enhance our operations. In this role, you will focus on sourcing activities, including but not limited to Capital Expenditure (such as tooling and equipment), administrative services, and Investment projects within our production environment. You will play a crucial part in locating, evaluating, contracting, and maintaining optimal sources of supply for services needed by internal business partners, ensuring quality, value, performance, cost efficiency, and responsiveness to dynamic supply needs. You will also lead the supplier selection and development process, contributing to sustainable improvements in procurement costs that align with our growth objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee the call to tender process and supplier management for assigned procurement projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aimed at reducing total cost of ownership while enhancing quality, standards, and delivery performance of purchased services and products.
• Coordinate changes and updates between suppliers and relevant internal project stakeholders.
• Negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and manage supplier and vendor contract modifications in adherence to compliance, policies, and regulations.
• Employ negotiation skills to resolve contractual disputes with suppliers and vendors, achieving acceptable outcomes that comply with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Procurement team to foster sustainable working practices in sourcing activities.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a comparable qualification.
• More than 3 years of experience in Procurement and/or project management in a technical environment.
• Procurement education and contracting experience are advantageous.
• Excellent project management skills, with a results-oriented and deadline-driven approach.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in German (fluent) and possess C1 level English skills.
