Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will be pivotal in the adaptation and implementation of Sodexo's HSE Strategy across various operational sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing national legislation and aligning it with Group requirements, along with developing health, safety, and environmental procedures tailored for local management systems.
- Maintaining the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
- Designing and delivering HSE training sessions.
- Managing incident documentation and the SALUS system, which includes systematic registration of accidents, near misses, and observations.
- Preparing reports focusing on occupational health, safety, and environmental concerns.
- Conducting HSE audits and assisting with external audits related to occupational health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Building and nurturing relations with operational teams to foster behavioral change and optimize results in occupational health and safety.
- Collaborating with building technology teams to ensure a smooth integration of HSE standards within operational processes.
- Facilitating HSE implementation at the new site in Lucerne, ensuring adherence to both Sodexo standards and local regulations.
- Contributing to the delivery of quality services in alignment with time, budget, and key performance indicators.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a combination of educational and professional experiences as follows:
- A university degree in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
- Certification as an occupational safety specialist.
- A minimum of one year’s work experience in occupational safety.
- Proactive and analytical skills, with an ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
- Proficiency in German and intermediate English (B1 or equivalent); knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Experience in work safety related to project and process management.
