Your Role and Responsibilities

In this pivotal position, you will oversee our global sales organization, focusing on both strategic and operational aspects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the global sales organization
  • Defining and executing international sales and market strategies
  • Driving sustainable business growth and expanding global market presence
  • Achieving sales budgets, revenue targets, and profitability
  • Managing and developing international subsidiaries and distribution partners
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and partners
  • Leading, coaching, and developing an international sales team
  • Identifying new market opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Supporting complex contract negotiations and key account management
  • Providing market insights, KPIs, and reporting to executive management

Expected Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A technical degree (e.g., biotechnology, engineering) complemented by additional business qualifications
  • Several years of leadership experience in international sales of capital equipment or plant engineering
  • A proven track record in building and developing global sales organizations
  • Experience in the pharma, biotech, or life sciences industries (preferred)
  • Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German
  • Intercultural competence and willingness to travel internationally (40–60%)
