Leadership Opportunity in Academic Management

The position involves significant leadership responsibilities, including the management, training, and development of academic programs while ensuring quality in teaching, service, and scholarship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate faculty within specific programs, ensuring optimal communication and support for both full-time and part-time staff.
  • Focus on student success by maintaining high standards of course and program outcomes.
  • Ensure relevance and quality of course content across various disciplines.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in promoting the institutional mission while empowering colleagues to implement effective strategies and procedures.
  • Commit to the recruitment, registration, and retention of students as a fundamental aspect of the role.
  • Engage actively as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team with Heads from other programs.

Program Development Objectives

  • Oversee the reimagining of the BA in Economics curriculum.
  • Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence into the Computer Science program and relevant courses.
  • Develop a comprehensive curriculum and assessment model for a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Create and structure a Masters of Science in Financial Technology.
  • Facilitate curricular synergies through collaboration on both existing and new programs.
  • Establish and cultivate an integrative research culture aligned with institutional goals.
  • Manage initiatives related to qualitative and quantitative research, including securing external grant funding.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support program reviews and provide analyses with recommendations to the Academic Director.
  • Conduct annual faculty performance reviews and feedback during the institution's review cycle.
  • Organize and chair programmatic faculty meetings at least once each semester, focusing on quality assurance and proper documentation.
  • Participate in faculty orientations, new student welcome events, advising days, and welcome weeks.
  • Contribute to enrollment and retention initiatives and events, enhancing the overall academic experience.
  • Foster a vibrant research culture both on and off campus, contributing actively to institutional growth.
