Role Overview
This position focuses on transforming the consumer experience for seekers and private listers into a significant competitive advantage within the SMG Real Estate segment. The role involves enhancing demand liquidity, improving conversion quality, and building long-term trust in the marketplace. You will operate at the crossroads of product management, growth strategies, and marketplace economics, tasked with creating a unified, data-driven system that enhances user outcomes and boosts business performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team of Product Managers overseeing the consumer and private lister journey, from initial discovery to final transaction.
- Design and implement a clear, strategic product roadmap focused on marketplace dynamics such as liquidity and trust.
- Drive significant enhancements in demand-side performance metrics, including engagement, lead quality, conversion, and retention.
- Collaborate closely with commercial leadership to enhance growth opportunities within the private listers segment.
- Develop and continuously adapt team structures in alignment with strategy rather than legacy models.
- Establish rigorous objectives and key results (OKRs) linked to tangible business impacts, clarifying success and stop criteria.
- Foster a fast-paced, insight-driven product culture utilizing experimentation, data analysis, and AI methodologies.
- Mentor Product Managers to elevate their product leadership skills and overall performance.
- Represent the consumer domain in executive discussions, contributing to company-wide priority setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage approximately five Product Managers, with the opportunity for team expansion.
- Be accountable for a vital revenue and growth driver within the business unit.
- Influence cross-functional collaboration across design, engineering, data, and commercial teams.
- Define and prioritize multi-million CHF investment priorities for product development.
Collaboration
You will work closely with:
- Business Unit leadership, including GM, Commercial, and Marketing teams.
- Engineering, Design, and Data leadership.
- Other Product leads across SMG marketplaces.
- External partners including data, integrations, and AI tool providers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive product leadership background with proven experience in developing consumer-facing digital products. The following qualifications are preferred:
- 8-12+ years of experience in Product Management with leadership responsibilities, particularly in marketplaces or consumer-driven platforms.
- A degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous, though not mandatory.
- Strong product judgment with an ability to prioritize user and business needs effectively.
- Experience in navigating complex, cross-functional environments and aligning diverse stakeholder interests.
- Familiarity with modern product tools, analytics, and AI applications in product development.
- Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of German is a plus.
