Role Overview

This opportunity focuses on bridging global sourcing with product development, enabling sourcing to act as a strategic partner from the onset. By cultivating strong partnerships across diverse teams such as Innovation, Creation, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sustainability, you will foster a culture of learning that enhances quality and ensures timely delivery. Success in this role requires delivering a strategic sourcing roadmap that aligns with the overall objectives of cost, quality, and delivery within the product portfolio.

Your Mission

  • Strategic Alignment: Facilitate close collaboration between the sourcing organization in Vietnam and the broader product organization in Switzerland.
  • Integrate Sourcing Considerations: Ensure sourcing requirements are integrated into the product roadmap, preparing all projects to be ‘sourcing ready’ by product freeze.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a strategic partner across cross-functional teams including Innovation, Creation, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sustainability.
  • Learning Culture: Instill a ‘learning culture & process’ within product development to enhance quality and timely delivery.
  • Portfolio Execution: Deliver a sourcing roadmap that enables flawless execution of the product portfolio, balancing objectives of cost, quality, and delivery.

Your Story

  • Over 8 years of progressive experience in strategic footwear sourcing and production operations; experience in apparel and accessories is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization, emphasizing sourcing integration points.
  • Adept at connecting various functions and navigating ambiguity while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Proven leadership skills to manage a portfolio of cross-functional projects effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and execution capabilities to translate objectives into actionable plans within complex organizational structures.
  • Experience in cross-cultural collaboration within a global organization, fostering effective teamwork across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies and nurturing a learning-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex trade-offs and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to various audiences and align with senior leaders.
