House of Gentle Arts is a network with multiple gyms in Zurich, dedicated to delivering high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instruction. As an organization recognized by the Swiss Ministry of Sports, we actively collaborate with the city of Zurich to serve a diverse community of adults and children, ranging from recreational practitioners to competitive athletes.

Position Overview
We are looking for a visionary technical leader with proven experience in managing high-performance teams. This professional will design the BJJ structure for our future network of academies, ensuring excellence in instruction, instructor development, and athlete training across all units.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructor Development: Build a comprehensive coach development program that includes mentorship and ongoing training, ensuring alignment with a unified technical and pedagogical standard.
- Program Development: Create a scalable technical and pedagogical program, servicing children, recreational practitioners, and high-performance athletes with consistent quality and a replicable teaching philosophy.
- Lead Instruction: Teach key classes at our main unit in Zurich and act as the technical reference for the coaching staff, delivering internal and external technical events to cultivate the network’s culture.
- Quality Control: Establish evaluation and monitoring systems to maintain effective execution of the program in every unit.
- Network Expansion: Collaborate with management in implementing the technical structure for new academies and develop strategies for growth and diversification of revenue streams.
- Competition Team Leadership: Oversee the network’s competition program and develop top-tier athletes.
- Brand Representation: Serve as an ambassador for House of Gentle Arts within the national and international BJJ community.
Required Qualifications
- Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a strong competitive history in high-level tournaments (Gi and No-Gi).
- At least 7 years of coaching experience with a proven track record of forming champions and leading successful teams.
- Practical experience in competitive, recreational, and children’s programs.
- Expertise in structuring scalable technical and pedagogical curriculums.
- Demonstrated ability to train, lead, and inspire fellow instructors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A passion for teaching, personal development, and building a lasting legacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a head coach or technical director in a large academy or network.
- Experience in expanding and standardizing sports or educational programs.
- Functional knowledge of German and Portuguese is a plus.
