Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will oversee and manage daily operations at the Front Desk, ensuring adherence to hotel standards during check-in/check-out processes, housekeeping, and guest satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of excellence in guest care with a warm welcome, aiming to exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Conduct regular operational meetings to discuss routine matters, departmental performance, and guest feedback.
- Address daily queries, complaints, and any issues that arise within the branch.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with the branch functions book regarding all updates and amendments.
- Engage with the General Manager and Direct Manager to forecast business performance and plan accordingly.
- Maximize financial opportunities and promote an environment conducive to proactive upselling.
- Fulfill Duty Management shifts as necessary.
- Conduct regular fire safety walks and Health & Safety audits.
- Encourage positive employee relations through effective communication and regular team meetings.
- Carry out inspections across all departments focusing on guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, and employee grooming.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety protocols for yourself and others on the premises.
Qualifications
- A degree in Hotel Management or a related field is required.
- Fluency in German is essential.
- Residence in or around Interlaken is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is necessary.
- Experience in the Switzerland Hospitality Industry is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
