French Speaking Accountant

Position Overview

Join a dynamic organization with a global presence in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. We are seeking a talented finance professional to oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for international entities. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work independently in a collaborative finance team based in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and reporting activities for UK and Belgian entities
• Month-end close and financial reporting
• VAT and tax compliance
• Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Variance analysis and management reporting
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies
• Supporting process improvements and strengthening financial controls
• Working closely with senior management and international stakeholders

About You

We seek an adaptable and proactive finance professional who is prepared to manage multiple legal entities. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Fluent French and English language skills
• 4-6 years' experience in finance or accounting
• Previous experience supporting UK and/or Belgian entities
• Hands-on experience with VAT returns, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
• Strong understanding of UK and/or Belgian accounting requirements
• Experience within multi-entity and/or international organizations
• Month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
