Position Overview
The Franchise Head High Specialty plays a pivotal role in overseeing the sales and marketing team focused on the commercial success of the Franchise’s generic and biosimilar assets within Neurology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, and Addiction Medicine. This leadership position requires a combination of strategic vision and hands-on management to drive growth and achieve key financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Managing the Franchise’s P&L, with careful attention to budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance of the High Specialty portfolio, inclusive of generic and biosimilar assets.
- Leading and guiding the sales and marketing teams, directly managing Key Account Managers (KAMs) to drive revenue growth and meet sales objectives.
- Defining an effective go-to-market model for the franchise's portfolio, including channel strategy and commercial terms to optimize value across customer segments.
- Developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning, engage key opinion leaders, and promote the portfolio effectively.
- Enhancing field force effectiveness to ensure the right customer engagement with appropriate messaging and frequency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Medical, Market Access, and Supply Chain, to effectively engage diverse customer groups.
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and alignment towards business objectives.
- Partnering with regional and global teams on key High Specialty products to share best practices and leverage promotional assets.
- Driving talent development and maintaining a focus on coaching while exemplifying core values.
- Meeting performance indicators related to financial targets, including Gross Sales, Net Sales, and Total Functional Cost (TFC) for the Franchise.
What You’ll Bring
Essential requirements for this role include:
- A university degree in bioscience, medicine, business, and/or economics; an MBA or PhD is preferred.
- Business-level proficiency in English, German, and ideally French.
- Extensive sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 3-5 years in a management role.
- A proven track record of P&L responsibility.
- In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace, including key dynamics, competitors, and regulatory processes.
- Proven experience in Specialty Care product launches and commercialization processes.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing sales and marketing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
