ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems of up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems for various mission profiles, such as Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.

Position Goals

The aim is to execute high-quality assembly, maintenance, and repair operations on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and related components. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining systems for flight test operations and R&D projects while ensuring adherence to technical standards and flight safety.

Key Tasks

  • Aircraft Development & Assembly:
    • Perform sub-assembly, final assembly, and repair tasks in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.
    • Conceptualize and implement design efforts while collaborating with engineers on design, prototyping, assembly, and testing.
    • Contribute to the design of electrical and mechanical system integrations and overall aircraft configurations.
    • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities regarding test implementation and integration of new subsystems.
    • Conduct inspections, installations, removals, replacements, and functional testing of subsystems and ground support equipment (GSE).
  • Flight Operations:
    • Support pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring comprehensive documentation and sign-off of all work.
    • Prepare and maintain aircraft, Ground Control Stations (GCS), test equipment, data transmission systems, and payloads for flight missions.
    • Assist remote pilots and manage ground movements during flight operations.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure full traceability and documentation of all tasks performed, including inspections and testing of incoming goods and parts.
    • Comply with safety standards, internal quality protocols, work instructions, and regulatory requirements, including handling of Dangerous Goods.
    • Maintain all GSE and testing equipment in operational condition to support daily flight and test activities.

Other Tasks

  • Technical Problem Solving:
    • Perform fault diagnosis and support root cause analysis for system failures or malfunctions.
    • Contribute suggestions for product and process improvements based on operational experience.
  • Training & Collaboration:
    • Act as a technician instructor for internal and/or external training sessions.
    • Collaborate proactively with engineering, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless mission support.

Your Profile

  • Completed technical education in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an aircraft technician (manned and/or unmanned); Part 66 license is a plus.
  • Proven understanding of aircraft assembly, system integration, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with technical test equipment.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of operational risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools.
  • A valid driver’s license.
