Role Overview

Join a dynamic team dedicated to the European Gas and Power business, focusing on proprietary trading strategies within the Northwest European gas markets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of European gas and demonstrate a proven track record in speculative gas trading.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and own the portfolio for proprietary positions in European gas markets, integrating a cross-commodity approach that includes gas to coal trading.
• Develop relationships with new customers and identify market challenges, ensuring alignment with Koch's Guiding Principles of mutual benefit.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to enhance and evolve desk trading strategies and points of view.
• Drive the development of innovative gas analytics and future strategic initiatives.
• Support and conduct fundamental research on the European energy markets on behalf of Koch.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience trading in Northwest European gas markets with a demonstrated ability to create value.
• Strong understanding of gas market balancing dynamics and European gas market infrastructure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of technical trading strategies.
• Proven capability in building a diversified strategy approach to risk deployment.
• Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in fundamental analysis of the European gas market.
• A high level of intellectual curiosity and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• An entrepreneurial mindset.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
