With your expertise, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of weather impacts on global energy markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver constant verbal and written briefings on global weather developments through daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports and presentations.
  • Develop innovative tools to enhance analysis capabilities, supporting trading ideas across our energy trading desks.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis on meteorology, hydrology, and climatology questions to stakeholders such as Risk, Origination, and Energy Markets Modelling.
  • Stay informed about academic research, forecasting technologies, and vendor products to ensure the use of cutting-edge insights.

What You Bring

  • A team-oriented, curious, and communicative approach, with a trading-oriented mindset.
  • At least 3 years of experience with weather-prediction models in communicative environments.
  • Strong knowledge of energy fundamentals, specifically electricity and gas markets, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in time series and data analysis techniques, utilizing Python or similar programming languages.
  • A completed Master’s degree or higher academic qualification in Meteorology, Hydrology, or related sciences.
  • Proficiency in English.
