Position Summary
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, centering on backend development and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure systems operate smoothly, continuously enhancing their performance. Key Responsibilities
- DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable deployments of software and tooling.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code practices for reproducibility and maintainability.
- Monitor system health, cybersecurity, and access control; respond to incidents while maximizing reliability.
- Manage development and production environments, upholding effective deployment workflows.
- Enterprise Systems Support & Integration
- Oversee the daily operations of enterprise platforms such as Aras Innovator, Oracle NetSuite, and MES.
- Support and maintain corporate IT infrastructure, including network hardware and servers.
- Develop and maintain integration pipelines and API connectors to facilitate reliable data exchange.
- Assist with the rollout of new platform features and system updates as needed.
- Create custom workflows and scripts to enhance traceability from simulation to performance measurement.
- AI Agents & Productivity Enhancement
- Develop LLM-powered tools to automate business workflows.
- Research AI agents to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency in engineering and operations.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to prototype and implement AI-assisted tools responsibly.
- Documentation & Process Hygiene
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, pipelines, and deployment procedures.
- Establish and follow standard operating procedures for operational tasks.
- Communicate effectively regarding system status, outages, and updates to the team.
Experience and Skills
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in programming using at least two languages: Python, JavaScript, C#, or SQL.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, and familiarity with services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Some background in CI/CD tools and version control workflows.
- Experience in semiconductor or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, MES) is preferred.
