Your Role

Become a vital part of our Turbine Development department within the gas turbine business in Baden, Switzerland. In this role, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and play a key part in various engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and construct components for gas turbine blades, vanes, and heat shields, targeting manufacturing, lifetime, performance, assembly, and cost.
  • Collaborate closely with other turbine teams such as Aerodynamics, Cooling, Mechanical Integrity, Manufacturing, and Reconditioning.
  • Issue and verify manufacturing specifications and technical reports.
  • Prepare material for design reviews, document lessons learned, and integrate feedback from manufacturing and field experiences into design processes.
  • Support manufacturing process development by providing insights during their development phases and assist in resolving nonconformities related to Quality and Logistics.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in high-temperature component design, utilizing state-of-the-art methods such as 3D-CAD NX and Teamcenter.
  • Strong knowledge of investment casting and machining processes.
  • Good understanding of material mechanics and physics.
  • Fluency in English and basic proficiency in German.
  • A collaborative, analytical, and results-driven team player capable of thriving in a multicultural environment.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and independent with effective negotiation skills.
