Opportunity for Design Engineering Professional
We are partnering with a prominent engineering and manufacturing company located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This established organization is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to enhance its dynamic technical team. This position offers a chance for a Design Engineer with robust CAD expertise to engage in technically demanding projects within a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce precise 2D and 3D technical drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Create comprehensive general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, CNC drawings, and structural layouts
- Maintain and manage project documentation through Vault
- Support manufacturing and construction feasibility reviews
- Generate manufacturing lists and technical documents
- Liaise with Sales, Contracts, Manufacturing, and Installation teams regarding technical requirements
- Assist site teams with installation and construction-related technical queries
- Ensure all work adheres to engineering, quality, and health & safety standards
- Modify and update existing drawings as necessary
- Participate in internal and customer design review meetings
Key Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or Vault Pro
- Extensive CAD experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting
- Prior experience working within a design engineering team
- Able to produce high-quality technical drawings
- Capability to manage tight deadlines across multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial awareness and adept problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
Salary & Additional Information
This role is based in Rotherham, offering a competitive salary in the range of £30,000 to £40,000. There will be occasional travel to customer sites within the UK and internationally.
