Position Overview

This role focuses on the design and delivery of financial products across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, and derivatives, specifically tailored for retail clients. It encompasses the monitoring of regulatory changes that may impact project mandates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mandates Management:
    • Assist the team leader in resource allocation to align with strategic objectives.
    • Provide analytical support through data analysis, interpretation, and model development.
    • Monitor existing mandates and deliver insightful analyses to refine strategies and enhance client outcomes.
  • Products Development:
    • Design and support implementation of customized cross-asset financial solutions such as derivatives, structured notes, swaps, and asset-backed securities.
    • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand client needs, present product ideas, and clarify structures.
    • Conduct risk assessments and manage associated risks—market, credit, operational, and legal—of proposed structures.
    • Perform in-depth market and quantitative research to identify trends, opportunities, and strategies.
    • Explore innovative asset classes and structuring techniques while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
    • Review legal provisions pertinent to various products and facilitate cross-country discussions for adherence to standards.
    • Develop investment decision tools utilizing back-testing and data analysis to inform strategic choices.
  • Regulatory Support:
    • Aid in managing derivatives regulatory requirements and monitor ongoing changes.
    • Support the implementation of regulatory updates across the organization.
    • Ensure clear communication regarding regulatory updates and promote efficient compliance costs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or Economics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structured finance, derivatives, or product structuring within financial institutions, ideally in investment banking.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience in a global and multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured products, derivatives, and multi-asset classes.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, risk analysis, quantitative techniques, and programming (e.g., Python, C++).
  • Capability in developing efficient investment decision and reporting tools, with expertise in back-testing and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for client-facing and internal coordination roles.
  • Able to mentor junior staff and support the development of the team.
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written); knowledge of German is considered advantageous.
