The Opportunity

The EY Business Consulting team provides a wide array of functional and cross-country services, offering trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry, including Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. As the Financial Services industry undergoes significant transformations, this is an opportune moment to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to guiding clients through evolving market dynamics and customer requirements. In this role, you will contribute to challenging transformations in WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, designing, planning, and delivering impactful solutions for our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Pursuing innovative, business-led, and tech-enabled transformation initiatives in the Financial Services sector.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in business performance.
• Employing storytelling skills to present recommendations to clients clearly and analytically.
• Leveraging and enhancing EY's global methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for various transformation objectives.
• Advancing your skills through hands-on client engagements and internal training sessions.
• Facilitating internal and external topic roundtables and thought leadership discussions.
• Supporting business development initiatives to continuously deliver valuable client solutions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Impressive academic record from a recognized university or university of applied sciences.
• Strong motivation to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment and within the financial services sector.
• Experience with team-based projects, either during university or through internships.
• A curious mind adept at structuring problems systematically and organized.
• Exceptional presentation skills coupled with a highly client-oriented approach.
• A collaborative team player willing to support diverse teams across functions and geographies.
• Fluency in English and German is essential; proficiency in Swiss German and other languages is a plus.

Additional Qualifications

• Initial experience in consulting and/or the Financial Services sector (e.g., internships, entry-level roles).
• Interest or experience in target operating model (TOM) design and process improvements.
• Familiarity with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
• Interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
