Key Responsibilities
- Ensure successful execution of clinical studies from start-up through completion.
- Drive performance, resource optimization, and compliance.
- Align cross-functional teams and manage risks to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Lead project management for assigned studies, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate activities including site operations, recruitment, regulatory compliance, and sponsor-CRO interactions.
- Monitor study performance, addressing barriers to enrollment, timelines, and revenue proactively.
- Oversee operational planning for high-priority and multi-site studies, effectively allocating resources.
- Drive accountability for area performance, meeting enrollment milestones and revenue targets.
- Evaluate site and study performance using KPIs and dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Partner with site leadership to develop corrective action plans for underperforming studies.
- Ensure sites are adequately staffed, trained, equipped, and resourced for successful study execution.
- Provide oversight of study execution, including visit completion, data entry, and query resolution.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while upholding quality and compliance standards.
- Report regularly to executive leadership on area performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and project management methodologies.
- Expertise in sponsor engagement, site management, and risk mitigation.
- Proven leadership in managing multi-site operations and developing staff.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in clinical research, including supervisory or management roles.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including air travel.
