Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present traditional Chettinad dishes, ensuring authenticity and quality.
  • Develop innovative menu options based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of meal designs to enhance the dining experience.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring timely execution of meal preparations.
  • Support junior kitchen staff in various cooking tasks, food preparation, and plating.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new kitchen employees, ensuring adherence to restaurant standards.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, evaluating performance to maintain high standards.
  • Implement and uphold sanitation and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Qualification in Hospitality, preferably a diploma or degree.
  • Commitment to a minimum two-year tenure at our locations in Switzerland.
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, with a focus on Chettinad culinary techniques.
  • Proficiency in German is an advantage.
