Role Overview

We are seeking an individual dedicated to driving new business and maximizing revenue through effective engagement with Groups and Events. This position emphasizes proactive sales acquisition, robust client relationship building, and collaborative efforts with sales teams to secure business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactive Sales Acquisition:
    • Identify and target new corporate, agency, group, and association accounts in local and regional markets.
    • Conduct regular sales drives, client visits, calls, and networking activities.
    • Organize site inspections, client events, and FAM trips to showcase offerings.
    • Utilize Marriott Global Sales Office (GSO), MARSHA systems, and Marriott Bonvoy effectively to convert leads.
    • Engage actively in local business associations and industry trade shows to enhance visibility.
    • Systematically map and develop the market, keeping abreast of competitor activities.
  • Account Development:
    • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with existing accounts, maximizing share of wallet.
    • Cross-sell Rooms and Events to current clients to enhance overall revenue.
    • Negotiate offers and contracts while ensuring adherence to hotel guidelines.
    • Ensure timely follow-up on all leads and inquiries to maintain momentum.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with the Events Manager and Reservations team to turn leads into confirmed bookings.
    • Offer support to Event Operations during peak demand periods as required.
    • Facilitate effective communication with operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
    • Collaborate with Marriott Cluster and RIMC Regional Sales Teams for lead generation and account penetration.
  • Reporting & KPIs:
    • Deliver weekly reports on sales activities, including calls, site inspections, and new leads.
    • Track and aim to achieve specified revenue and activity targets.
    • Maintain precise client and lead data within the CRM system.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to recognize new opportunities.

Required Profile

  • 2-4 years of hotel sales experience, particularly in Groups, Events, or Corporate Accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and a hunter mentality.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to capitalize on opportunities to generate revenue.
  • Self-motivated and resilient, with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Fluent in English and French; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS, MARSHA, and CRM tools is desirable.
