Your Role and Contribution
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boarding Assistant to be an integral part of our community. In collaboration with the Housemaster/mistress and Deputy Housemaster/mistress, your role will be to create a supportive atmosphere where students feel at home and motivated to reach their potential.
As a consistent presence, you will actively engage with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and support. Your involvement in daily activities and studies will make a significant impact on their boarding experience, creating meaningful memories.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the HM and DHM to foster an appealing residential environment.
- Build individual connections with students and support their personal development.
- Maintain a dynamic presence throughout the day and evening.
- Assist in house administration and participate actively in weekend programming.
- Support academic lessons 6-8 times a week.
- Contribute to two activities or sports teams across the year.
- Oversee students in the Boarding House during overnight shifts.
- Aid the La Sionnaire chalet during the winter season.
- Supervise study sessions and collaborate with the Health Centre team.
- Manage reception duties and airport transfers.
- Attend weekly Training and Support Meetings.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification.
- Native English speaker or advanced English proficiency; French language skills are advantageous but not required.
- Strong IT skills.
Experience
- Experience working with young people in a residential setting is preferred but not essential.

- Effective communication and organisation skills.
- A sense of humour and the ability to establish positive relationships.

- European passport holder complying with Swiss permit regulations.
What We Offer
- Fixed-term contract from September 2026 to June 2027.
- Accommodation provided throughout the contract duration (subject to social charges).

The position commences in September 2026 and concludes on 30 June 2027.
