Position Overview
Join a dynamic team in East Hanover, NJ, US or Basel, Switzerland, contributing to impactful product and portfolio communications strategies within the Cardiovascular & Metabolic (CVM) Therapeutic Area. This role embraces a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance between remote and on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of integrated communications strategies tailored to market dynamics and stakeholder insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional development and commercial teams to enhance brand and therapeutic area objectives through effective communication.
- Work across various communications functions, including media relations, digital strategies, and patient advocacy, to ensure coordinated campaigns.
- Craft compelling brand and disease-state narratives, leveraging modern content strategies for diverse audiences.
- Protect and enhance the reputation of Novartis and the CVM portfolio through proactive communications planning and risk assessment.
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications and demonstrate impact against business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements during execution.
- Manage communications agency partnerships and budgets with efficiency.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated contribution to Novartis’ reputation and leadership in the CVM therapeutic area.
- Consistent and differentiated storytelling for CVM across various channels.
- Alignment of communications strategies within the therapeutic area.
- Engagement and narrative adoption across diverse audiences, particularly in AI-driven environments.
- Effective use of OGSM planning principles for measurable outcomes.
- Proven management of reputation risks and issues in CVM brands.
- Positive feedback from stakeholders on collaboration and strategic expertise.
- Commitment to personal development and continuous improvement.
Desirable Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Over 7 years of communications experience, particularly in brand communications.
- Experience managing agency partners and budgets.
- Background in crisis and issues management.
- Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Compensation
Salary range for this position: CHF122,500.00 - CHF227,500.00.
