Role Overview
In this position, you will play a crucial role in the development and validation of our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Your responsibilities will include the design, construction, and maintenance of test benches and systems to emulate flight conditions, facilitating comprehensive testing of UAV systems and components. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure that our products adhere to the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and design test benches for UAV systems, encompassing avionics, propulsion, and flight control components to accurately replicate real-world operating conditions.
- Integrate various UAV subsystems into test benches, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless functionality.
- Execute rigorous testing protocols on test benches to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Collect and analyze test data to identify performance trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend design improvements.
- Prepare detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to document testing activities, results, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and upgrade test bench equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and incorporate new technologies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams to provide valuable feedback and insights from test results to inform product development and enhancements.
Your Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in testing and validation of UAV systems or aerospace applications; familiarity with test bench design and operation.
- Proficiency in data acquisition systems, testing tools, and software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW). A strong understanding of avionics and control systems is advantageous, with CAD skills being desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical and technical understanding.
