Role Overview

This key leadership position oversees the delivery of all local IT services specific to Switzerland, with a primary focus on Infrastructure and Applications within the Factory in Baden. It encompasses two main areas: Infrastructure Management and Application Support and Development, ensuring stable operations and continuous advancement of IT infrastructure and factory applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Swiss Local & Factory IT team.
  • Handle operational costs and conduct financial forecasts for expanded functionalities and user bases.
  • Support feasibility studies for upgrade projects and improvements.
  • Monitor IT service performance, implementing strategies for updates and compliance with standards.
  • Engage with executives, stakeholders, and end-users regarding infrastructure and application activities.
  • Manage the Major Incident Management Process locally.
  • Oversee deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT systems, including servers and operating systems.
  • Provide user services for shop floor operations, including help desk support.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of factory systems in collaboration with various specialists.
  • Manage services provided by external service providers.
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps as part of the IT/IS strategy cycle.

Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee network and security implementations.
  • Lead IT asset management and documentation efforts.
  • Manage local data centers and server hosting in partnership with external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements for local networks.

Application Support and Development

  • Ensure reliable operations and development of factory applications.
  • Collaborate with other application teams for support and development.
  • Contribute to local factory and service center system projects.

Your Background

Formal Education & Certification

  • A university degree or college diploma in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years managing infrastructure design and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, with a proven track record of meeting service level agreements.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with hardware.
  • Strong understanding of relevant protocols and ITIL standards.
  • Application support experience is a plus.
  • Experience interpreting applicable laws and regulations within company operations.
