Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage an efficient team while advising on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvements in collaboration with relevant internal departments.
  • Ensure the organization and processes adhere to operational requirements (KPIs) in accordance with the engine services operational schedule and OEM/regulatory guidelines.
  • Guarantee a workplace that meets all Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations and requirements for all employees.
  • Ensure quality workmanship in compliance with all applicable SRT and airworthiness rules and regulations.
  • Assign job roles and maintain vacation planning according to engine planning, monitoring labor efficiency.
  • Organize support across departments to ensure optimal performance as well as maintaining tools, equipment, and work documentation.
  • Actively manage human resources to ensure the availability of essential skills to meet demand.
  • Focus on the training and development needs of employees and the department.
  • Execute and promote Continuous Improvements using Lean principles to meet organizational targets.
  • Manage and enhance related processes to achieve key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Drive a performance culture through periodic goal-setting and regular structured follow-ups with all employees.
  • Implement performance management processes (PMP) and provide leadership with an emphasis on employee motivation.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational background: Technical education.
  • Operational and managerial experience within the aviation industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage manpower and resources.
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate issues to management with actionable solutions.
  • Sound working knowledge of health, safety, and quality procedures at the required level.
  • Strong verbal and written command of English (level B2) and German (level C1).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • A positive attitude with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • High degree of customer focus, both internal and external.
  • Excellent communication and team-oriented work style with strong management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure.
