Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Supervisor on the Engine Shop Floor, you will be instrumental in developing and managing a high-performing team of approximately 20 to 25 employees. Your focus will be on emphasizing safety and quality while ensuring all tasks are delivered on time and within budget. You will coordinate operations with stakeholders to align with the organization’s goals.
- Foster and promote a positive Safety Culture, ensuring adherence to Safety and Quality Policies.
- Lead a diverse team, nurturing performance and creating a supportive work environment.
- Establish a performance culture through target setting and regular follow-ups with team members, employing an effective performance management process.
- Plan and allocate resources to optimize productivity and monitor labor efficiency.
- Encourage personnel development and skill management to meet capacity needs.
- Implement Continuous Improvements using Lean principles and 5S methodologies to achieve organizational targets and KPIs.
- Participate in and prepare for internal and external audits.
Candidate Profile
- Technical background or education, preferably in aviation.
- Leadership experience with a strong capability in interpersonal relations and team development; a minimum of three years in team leadership or substantial project leadership is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and independent working style, driving high performance.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficient in English (B2+) and, ideally, German.
- Experience with maintenance documentation systems; knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with SAP is a plus.
