Role Overview
Join our Engine Mechanic teams at Zurich Airport and Bad Zurzach. We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to contribute to our New Engines department at Zurich Airport.
Your Responsibilities
- Promote a positive Safety Culture and ensure the implementation of Safety and Quality Policies, including Airworthiness Directives, manuals, and documentation.
- Lead and manage a multi-cultural team, fostering performance, engagement, and a positive work environment.
- Drive a performance culture through periodic target setting and structured follow-up with all employees while applying the performance management process (PMP) focused on employee motivation.
- Plan and allocate resources to ensure high productivity and monitor labor efficiency.
- Drive personnel development and skill management to meet capacity requirements through OJT, qualifications, certifications, and performance evaluations.
- Execute and promote Continuous Improvements using Lean principles and 5S to achieve organizational targets and key performance indicators (KPI).
- Participate in, prepare for, and be responsible for internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions and compliance improvements.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with proven leadership/management responsibilities; MRO experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of operational processes and higher-level interdependencies within manufacturing environments.
- A proactive, independent, and self-initiated working style with a strong performance drive and focus on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with maintenance documentation systems; Microsoft Office is required, SAP is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with English proficiency at a minimum B2 level (German is a plus).
