Your Role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for developing and managing a highly effective team of approximately 20 to 25 employees within the New Engines department at Zurich-Airport. Your focus will be on promoting safety and quality while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive Safety Culture, communicating and implementing Safety and Quality Policies within the organization, including adherence to Airworthiness Directives, manuals, and documentation.
  • Lead and manage a multicultural team, fostering engagement and a positive work environment.
  • Drive performance culture through periodic target setting and structured follow-ups with employees, applying performance management processes with a focus on motivation.
  • Plan and allocate resources for high productivity while monitoring labor efficiency.
  • Enhance personnel development and skill management to meet capacity requirements through on-the-job training, qualifications, certifications, and performance evaluations.
  • Promote Continuous Improvements by applying Lean principles and 5S to achieve organizational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in and prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring implementation of corrective actions and compliance improvements.

Your Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing with proven leadership/management responsibilities; MRO experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and interdependencies within manufacturing environments.
  • Proactive, independent working style with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with maintenance documentation systems; Microsoft Office is required, and SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • English proficiency at a minimum B2 level is required; German is a plus.
