Service Engineer Laser

Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of laser texturing and cutting machines.
• Executing retrofits, upgrades, and machine conversions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identifying and implementing optimization opportunities through close collaboration with Development and 2nd Level Support.
• Professionally handling troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation of service cases.
• Supporting the creation, review, and improvement of technical documentation and process procedures.
• Occasionally assisting with trade fair setup and dismantling activities.
• Ensuring full compliance with Advanced Manufacturing safety standards, including particle emissions, laser radiation, contamination control, gas handling, and explosion prevention.
• Participating in additional functional responsibilities based on expertise and business requirements, such as internal training, quality initiatives, or special technical projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Completed technical vocational training, ideally with an additional qualification as a certified technician.
• Several years of experience as a Service Technician for laser machines or comparable high-tech industrial equipment.
• A strong customer-service orientation with an independent and structured approach to work.
• A high willingness to travel (up to 90%) across Europe and Switzerland.
• Good MS Office skills and strong IT knowledge in hardware and software environments.
• Fluent English skills are mandatory, along with proficiency in German or French.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer support and service quality.
• A reliable, responsible, and team-oriented personality.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• An independent, solution-oriented, goal-driven approach with organizational skills.
