Your Mission
As a vital member of our team, you will drive organic growth from Search Engines and AI Search Interfaces across various business units, including Real Estate, Automotive, General Marketplaces, and Finance. This role goes beyond mere page optimization; you will play a crucial part in shaping product features, scalable landing page systems, and platform capabilities that lead to long-term organic growth. You will act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data, ensuring that SEO is integrated into our product development approach with the aim of transforming user demand into scalable platform growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth & Strategy:
- Own and execute Roadmap Initiatives.
- Translate search demand into product initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Plan initiatives based on hypotheses, impact estimation, and ROI potential.
- Identify scalable growth levers such as indexation, internal linking, landing page generation, and content systems.
- Adapt strategies based on insights into user behavior across various search and discovery platforms.
- Product-Led SEO:
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to integrate SEO into product development.
- Define SEO requirements for new features and scalable platform capabilities within SMG's portfolio.
- Build frameworks that enable sustainable growth beyond manual optimizations.
- Educate teams on the importance of SEO, emphasizing both strategy and implementation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted advisor for Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive alignment and ownership across various teams.
- Data & Experimentation:
- Develop hypotheses and validate them using data.
- Monitor performance and iterate strategies based on learnings.
- Measure success primarily through business impact rather than vanity metrics.
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to enhance tracking and reporting mechanisms.
Qualifications
We seek individuals who can bring the following experience and attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years of SEO experience on large websites (marketplaces, classifieds, real estate, or platforms).
- Experience working with Product teams within agile environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to derive actionable insights.
- Proven ability to plan initiatives supported by business impact estimates.
- Hands-on knowledge of technical SEO aspects such as crawling, indexing, and rendering.
- A proactive, ownership-driven attitude with a growth mindset.
- Fluency in English.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in Product-Led SEO.
- Background in handling large-scale landing page systems.
- Experience in marketplaces or classified platforms.
- Experience with AI Search and GEO-related technologies.
