Senior Lead - Computational Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Build and nurture a team of computational design experts, ensuring seamless collaboration with designers and cross-functional partners to produce exceptional work, from initial concepts to production-ready 3D datasets.
• Play a vital role in the design studio, consistently pushing the boundaries of visual and technical innovation in On’s products.
• Inspire, coach, and enhance the skills of individuals and teams to cultivate future-ready design capabilities in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
• Utilize computational design skills to forge pioneering product concepts that establish new benchmarks for performance and innovation in digital manufacturing and automation.
• Embed computational design capabilities throughout all product functions, fostering creativity, efficiency, and groundbreaking innovation.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in computational design tools and digital fabrication technologies to refine the footwear design process.
• Implement parametric and algorithmic design principles to create flexible design systems, facilitating customizable and easily adaptable solutions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in high-level design environments, accompanied by a robust portfolio showcasing computational design and performance-driven product solutions.
• Demonstrated history of leading teams and managing large-scale projects in agile settings.
• In-depth knowledge of computational design along with proficiency in 2D and 3D tools, spanning from concept development to production-ready outputs.
• Familiarity with traditional manufacturing processes in high-performance footwear is advantageous.
• An innovative mindset fueled by a desire to challenge and redefine the landscape of footwear design.
• Proven ability to operate independently under deadlines across multiple projects, merging creative ideation with engineering problem-solving skills.
• A capability to thrive in an energetic and fast-paced environment.
