Your Mission
As a vital part of the Concepts & Innovation team, you will play a key role in inventing, designing, and developing innovative CO₂ collector system architectures. This includes integrating sorbent and process requirements into practical, manufacturable equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collector Concepts Development: Create new CO₂ collector system architectures that effectively combine sorbent and process requirements.
- Prototyping: Engage in hands-on prototyping and testing, conducting experiments to validate concepts and optimize designs from initial proof of concept through to final acceptance testing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with in-house sorbent and process experts, as well as system engineers, to align material and process properties with mechanical implementation, contributing to the scale-up from laboratory to pilot and industrial scale.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Ensure stakeholder alignment by documenting designs, insights, and lessons learned, promoting transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Intellectual Property: Monitor industry advancements and actively contribute to generating new intellectual property.
Your Story
To thrive in this role, you must possess the following:
- Education & Engineering Expertise: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment development, focusing on systems involving steam, vacuum, and thermal management.
- Approach to Innovation: Hands-on experience in building and validating lab-scale or pilot-scale hardware, with a proven track record of innovation, rapid prototyping, and creative problem-solving under uncertain conditions.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of detailed design, design-for-manufacture, and industrialization, along with proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) for part and system designs. Familiarity with the process industry, sorbents, and thermal separation technologies is advantageous.
- Mindset & Working Style: Comfortable in multidisciplinary teams, bridging material science, process engineering, mechanical design, and industrialization, with strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Language: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
