Senior Accountant

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive German-speaking Senior Accountant to play a pivotal role in an engaging finance environment within a dynamic Swiss SME. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Swiss GAAP, VAT, and tax reporting, contributing to the overarching success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Manage Swiss VAT compliance, prepare tax filings, and facilitate year-end audit preparations.
• Oversee inventory accounting including margins, rebates, and customer/supplier refunds.
• Support contract accounting to ensure precise multi-year postings.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of Swiss accounting experience.
• Fluency in German is essential; proficiency in Swiss German is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in month-end closing processes.
