Your Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of our telecom security roadmap across various protocols, including SS7, Diameter, and 5G.
• Enforce security controls for core and edge network domains, ensuring compliance with established security policies.
• Collaborate with IT, Core, Transport, and RAN teams to identify and mitigate telecom-specific threats.
• Contribute to threat modeling and the protection of critical assets, ensuring their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Investigate vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts for mobile and fixed network components.
• Maintain the network risk register and ensure alignment with compliance requirements, including ISO 27001/11 and relevant regulations.
• Provide insights on secure architecture for new technologies such as 5G, and support audit processes and security maturity reviews.
• Promote security awareness and best practices among engineering and operations teams.

Your Qualifications

• A degree in engineering, telecommunications, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience with telecom protocols and a willingness to learn about SS7, MAP, Diameter, and more.
• A deep understanding of Linux and core network architecture, including 5G and IMS.
• Knowledge of security controls, detection mechanisms, and identity access management.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001/11 and NIS.
• Experience in CVE management, vulnerability scanning, and risk assessment.
• Awareness of AI and automation across attack techniques and defensive strategies.
• Exposure to virtualized and container-based environments (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Proficiency in security tools, scripting, and automation.
• A self-motivated and pragmatic approach to solving real-world challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
