Reinsurance Operations Specialist (P&C, Specialty)

We are seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the dynamic environment of a leading international reinsurance group. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Claims Handling:
  • Review and validate claims across Property, Casualty, and Specialty lines of business.
  • Engage with clients and brokers regarding coverage, treaty structure, and claims issues.
  • Conduct daily assessments, validation, and booking of claims while processing payments.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and Reserving teams to identify trends and implement corrective measures.
• Technical Accounting:
  • Assist in technical accounting processes and address accounting-related inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls associated with technical operations.
  • Coordinate workflows with service providers, focusing on account receipt, triage, verification, and reconciliation.
• Underwriting Support (Seasonal):
  • Provide assistance to Underwriting and Pricing teams during renewal cycles, focusing on data input and review.
• General Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and support system enhancements.
  • Maintain data quality and cultivate effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Completed insurance apprenticeship or degree in business, engineering, or law.
• 3–5 years of experience in reinsurance operations, specifically in Claims or Technical Accounting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Independent working style complemented by a strong team spirit.
• Proven prioritization skills and a proactive approach to skill development.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German or French is an advantage.
• Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office.
• A genuine desire to grow and make meaningful contributions across functions.
