Your Future Role

In this role, you will:

• Oversee discretionary and systematic coffee and cocoa trading strategies, utilizing both market and fundamental data.
• Supervise fundamental and quantitative research and analysis in the coffee and cocoa sectors.
• Manage and train junior analysts, collaborating with internal experts to boost overall business performance.
• Lead research into price models, supply-demand signals, and seasonality effects.
• Integrate alternative datasets into the strategy pipeline.
• Share and discuss research results, methodologies, datasets, and processes with fellow researchers.
• Manage relationships with key global clients.

Your Present Skillset

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 8–10+ years of trading experience in commodities, particularly in coffee and/or cocoa.
• Experience in the global robusta trade is a plus.
• A proven track record in systematic or quantamental strategy design.
• A deep understanding of soft commodities fundamentals and global commodity markets.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Experience in exploring large datasets across various time frames is an advantage.
• Intellectual curiosity to investigate new datasets, solve complex problems, and drive innovative processes.
• The ability to work autonomously within a collegial and collaborative setting.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technologists, data scientists, traders, and clients globally.
