Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated project leader passionate about manufacturing innovation. This role will enable you to bring complex factory investments to fruition within a dynamic, cross-functional environment, balancing technical expertise, stakeholder alignment, and operational excellence. As a pivotal member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on our global production footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex factory optimization and investment projects (CAPEX 2–10M CHF), ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
  • Develop and apply deep expertise in production processes to drive innovation, automation, and digitalization—balancing productivity with operational stability.
  • Manage global, cross-functional teams through all project stages, including initiation, analysis, concept development, implementation, and final handover.
  • Build and lead high-performance project teams, establishing effective governance structures and efficiently coordinating work packages.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring strong customer focus, continuous dialogue, and service excellence.
  • Foster relationships with external partners, such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers, to enhance project success.
  • Identify, assess, and recommend emerging technologies and innovative processes to improve factory operations.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices across the company, continually enhancing project management techniques and tools.

Background Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 3 years of proven project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry, ideally with advanced technology implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Strong financial literacy to evaluate data and build sound business cases for investments.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent conceptual skills and a proactive, solution-oriented working style.
  • A motivated team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken).
