About the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG)
The Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) at ETH Zurich stands as a centre of excellence for interdisciplinary education and research in governance and public management. Embedded within the Department of Management, Technology and Economics (D-MTEC), it provides continuing education for professionals in public administration, NGOs, and international organizations. Role Overview
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, organizing, and delivering impactful learning experiences aimed at leaders within the public and non-profit sectors. You will oversee the effective delivery and continuous development of our continuing and executive education portfolio, particularly focusing on the CAS in Public Governance and Administration. This role involves managing essential aspects of the programme lifecycle, from preparation and delivery to evaluation and improvement, along with contributing to the design and implementation of new initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, delivery, and further development of programme curricula.
- Maintain relationships and communication with a range of stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, donors, external partners, and prospective participants.
- Manage application processes and general study administration.
- Organize the logistical aspects of programmes and events (e.g., room bookings, catering, invitations).
- Monitor programme-related finances.
- Identify and implement AI- and digitally enabled improvements to current processes for enhanced cost-effectiveness and user experience.
- Lead communication and marketing efforts, including website and social media content, campaign planning, and the production of promotional materials.
- Contribute to the conceptualization of new continuing education activities.
- Provide administrative support to the school management.
Desired Profile
- A degree from a university or a university of applied sciences, ideally in public or non-profit management, social or political sciences, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating education or study programmes, preferably in a higher education environment.
- A strong interest in Switzerland’s public and non-profit sectors, particularly in higher education.
- Motivated by topics such as public management, governance, and administration, with a desire to contribute to impactful continuing education.
- Demonstrated initiative, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Service-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Competence in managing digital communication channels, including websites and social media.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken; proficiency in French is an asset.
